Undoubtedly you have received many communications from an array of businesses regarding their response to the Coronavirus. The health of your pet and its access to care at Kirkwood Animal Hospital (KAH) is as important to us as it is to you; therefore, we are providing you this updated on how KAH is responding to Coronavirus concerns.
First and foremost as yours pet’s health care provider, we are committed to providing you continued access to our facility throughout this difficult time. We have implemented routine intra-day cleaning of all skin contact surfaces with virucide and other disinfection cleaners, in order to provide the safest possible space for you, your pets, and our staff. We are taking great care in this process to protect you and your pet from exposure to any of these chemicals.
Additional measures listed below will be implemented effective Monday morning March 16th 2020:
Patients and owners will be directed immediately to an exam room where KAH staff will complete check-in process.
Please limit visits to only one family member per pet.
Exam availability will be staggered to provide the best chance for limited interaction with other clients. In addition, we ask that you be as punctual as possible to help us achieve this goal.
When scheduling appointments we ask that you notify KAH staff 1) if you have been sick recently and/or 2) if you have traveled to any current CDC identified high-risk countries. If so, we will make special arrangements for you visit.

For all non-patient visits use the drive-thru to complete your transaction. The drive-thru window is located on the east side of the building.
It is important to note that current research supports that pets are not at risk for Coronavirus. Please see CDC site FAQ FAQ on the topic: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html
We deeply appreciate your understanding, patience, and cooperation as we do our utmost to continue providing access for your pets.
