Dr. Bendick has been active in World Missions in "The Developing World" since 1989.

In 1989 he went with his two sons, Matthew and Brian, to work with the Maasai people of southern Kenya.

In 1991 he went back to the same area with his classmate Dr. John Adams, Spanish Lake Veterinary Hospital.

In 1997 he worked in South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania with his church and Christian Veterinary Missions.

From 1996 until 2001 he was the chairman of the World Missions Committee of Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church in Twin Oaks, Missouri.

In 1998 his wife, Jan, and Terry Jones, from Twin Oaks PCA, joined him on a trip to Lahore, Pakistan to dedicate an outpatient medical clinic.  Twin Oaks  raised funds to complete the clinic.

In June 1999 he returned to the Maasai in southern Kenya with his wife and two daughters.

In April 2001 he went with Dr. Kit Flowers, Director of CVM, to Uganda and Kenya.

In August 2002 Dr. Bendick again traveled to Mongolia with Dr. Flowers.

In 2005 and 2007 he traveled to Nairobi working with Dr. Oliver Claassen, Presbyterian Mission International and New City Fellowship St. Louis and Nairobi.

Dr. Bendick went on his first mission trip with his two sons Matthew and Brain in 1989 to work with the Flowers family in Loita, Kenya.  Dr. Kit Flowers is now the Director of CVM.  CVM gives veterinarians the opportunity to use their God given talents to show God's love to the peoples of the world.  CVM works in the worlds   poorest developing countries.  They use their professional training to teach others how to improve their lives and share the message of the Gospel.  Dr. Bendick has served as a regional representative and board member.  He was the first chairman of the board of Christian Veterinary Missions, a Christian relief and development ministry affiliated with World Concern & Crista Ministries based in  Seattle, Washington.
